How redraft values are calculated
Redraft values come from a ranking for the current season in your scoring format. Each rank is turned into a value from 0 to 10,500 on the same curve as every other value on the site. Using the same curve for redraft ranks is our assumption, not a measured fit, and we say so on the methodology page.
Rankings come from Fantasy Football Calculator and were last pulled on . We check for new rankings every day from August to January and every week from February to July. If a refresh fails, the page keeps the last good values and shows their date.
- Redraft, PPR: 1QB: average draft position in PPR 12-team mock drafts (109 mock drafts, 2026-09-18 to 2026-09-25). Superflex: 2QB mock drafts (187 mock drafts, 2026-09-08 to 2026-10-08). 28 players, each with a 1QB and a superflex value.
- Redraft, half PPR: 1QB: average draft position in Half-PPR 12-team mock drafts (116 mock drafts, 2026-09-09 to 2026-09-14). Superflex: 2QB mock drafts (187 mock drafts, 2026-09-08 to 2026-10-08). 44 players, each with a 1QB and a superflex value.
- Redraft, standard: 1QB: average draft position in Non-PPR 12-team mock drafts (156 mock drafts, 2026-09-08 to 2026-09-15). Superflex: 2QB mock drafts (187 mock drafts, 2026-09-08 to 2026-10-08). 92 players, each with a 1QB and a superflex value.
Average draft position (ADP) records where players went in mock drafts, not what managers trade for in-season, and it is thin outside the preseason. Treat these numbers as a rough guide, especially for players outside the top 50, and check recent news on injuries and depth charts.
Worked example
Here is the trade the calculator opens with, using standard redraft values from , in a 12-team league with 25 roster spots and one starting quarterback.
| Side | Player | Rank | Curve value | Trade value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You give | Puka Nacua | 3.6 | 9,648 | 9,647 |
| You get | Derrick Henry | 7 | 8,907 | 8,906 |
| You get | Bucky Irving | 49 | 3,320 | 3,313 |
- Each rank goes through the curve 10,500 × e−0.0235 × rank to give the curve value.
- The last rosterable player in this league is rank 300, worth 9 on the curve, so every value is shifted down by that amount and rescaled to keep the top at 10,500. That is the trade value.
- Each side is totalled as a power mean with p = 1.5: (Σ value1.5)1/1.5. You give 9,647 and get 10,207. A straight sum would favour the side with more players; the power mean gives the single better player a premium instead.
- The sides are 5.5% apart. Within 5% reads as fair; beyond it, the larger side wins. Verdict: you win this trade. The calculator suggests Michael Wilson (1,899) as the closest single player to the 1,912 gap.

Redraft trade tips
- Trade for your weakest starting slot. Points from a bench player you never start are worth nothing.
- Watch the playoff schedule. From mid-season, a player’s matchups in your fantasy playoff weeks can matter more than his season rank.
- Sell injury news early, buy it late. Values drop fastest right after an injury and recover once there is a timeline.
- Mind the trade deadline. After it, only waivers can fix your roster, so a deadline deal that fills a hole is worth a small loss in value.
Frequently asked questions
Which scoring format should I pick?
Pick the one your league uses. PPR gives a point per catch, which lifts pass-catching running backs, receivers and tight ends. Standard gives none. Half PPR is in between. Each format has its own ranking, so the same trade can score differently.
Why is a player I want not in the search?
The search only lists players the data source has ranked for the scoring format and QB setting you picked. Deep bench players and recent waiver pickups may not be ranked yet.
Should I trade a struggling star?
A rank reflects the rest of the season, not one bad week. If the calculator still values a struggling star well above what you are offered, you are probably selling low.
Do bye weeks and injuries count?
Only as far as the ranking already reflects them. The calculator does not check this week's injury report, so look at news before you accept.
Does superflex work in redraft?
Yes. Switch Quarterbacks to Superflex and the calculator uses a separate 2QB ranking, where quarterbacks are worth far more.
